A Little About Me…

Hey, I’m Cora — a Certified and Experienced Full Spectrum Doula who supports families in throughout the Continental US. Since 2023, I’ve been helping parents feel confident, informed, and empowered through their own unique pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journeys.

I’m the eldest sister of four siblings with four VERY different personalities. I’m also a fairy godmother of two, a traveler, an aspiring author, and a relatively decent crocheter.

My goal as a doula is pretty simple: I’m here to help families across the US take control of your birth and parenthood journey. You deserve the dignity, knowledge, strength, and support to do things your way — no judgment, no apology.

My Story
My journey to becoming a doula wasn’t your average one. I didn’t have a friend ask me to sit in as their doula, and I haven’t given birth— but as the oldest of four siblings, and one of the eldest in my generation of cousins, I quickly learned that birth, while beautiful and empowering, can also be tough, messy, and not go as planned. I remember being 10 years old, begging my mom to let me come to the hospital when she was having my little brother. I wasn’t able to go (thanks, hospital policies), but the curiosity was sparked— and eventually it ignited.

Fast forward to my teen years: my cousin introduced me to the world of doulas, birth work, and placenta encapsulation, and I was hooked. I knew this was the work I was meant to do. During my late teen years and early adulthood, I noticed how many people — especially women — across the country were struggling to get the education and resources they deserved to make empowered choices about their bodies, pregnancies and birth experiences.

When I first graduated high school, I went to college as a Pre-Nursing Major in an effort to become a midwife. Then Covid-19 hit, and I did NOT do great with online learning— at least, not when it’s not “at your own pace”). So, I dropped out with the intention of going back, but that hasn’t happened (never say ever though!). But after a career change or two, I decided to get certified as a Birth Doula at ChildBirth International.

A Little About Me Outside of Birth Work
When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me buried in a good book, plotting ideas for a novel (that I’ll eventually finish lol), finding a 5+ season show to watch, hanging out with my friends and godkids (no religious affiliation here, just love and care for the next generation), or finding my next place to travel to (hopefully it has great hiking and snorkeling spots). I also have a deep appreciation for weird art, regardless of the medium — the kind that challenges the norms, gives a little perspective, or just gives off some unique, raw energy. That love for creative, unfiltered expression extends to my work as a doula too. I think every birth story is its own kind of art — unique, powerful, and a little bit messy, and that’s exactly how it should be.

I’m also an advocate for eclectic witchcraft, which is my personal practice of connecting with nature, energy, and the world around me. It’s all about balance, intuition, and feeling grounded — values that I carry into my work as a doula, supporting parents to feel balanced and centered through their own unique journeys.

How I Support You
As a Full-Spectrum Doula, I mix evidence-based information with holistic care to give you a balanced, realistic approach that works for you. Pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period are sacred, powerful, and primal events — they can also be intense, exhausting, and overwhelming. I’m here to outline your options, and assist you in making decisions that align with your needs while being aware of your rights as a birthing person and human being— whether that means advocating for your rights in a hospital setting, giving you emotional and informational strength to communicate your needs to your medical team during pregnancy and birth, or providing you with resources and household help through your postpartum recovery.

What You Can Expect
Here’s the deal— I’m not here to dictate how you should birth or parent. You’ve got your own path to walk, and I’m here to clear it for you. Whether you’re looking for hands-on support, emotional reassurance, or a fierce advocate who won’t let anyone mess with your birth experience, I’m your person. I’ll be there for you with the knowledge, the strength, and the calm you need — no matter what. It’s your body, your birth, your choices. I’m just here to help make sure you feel supported, empowered, and ready to handle whatever comes your way.
